at The Church of Saint William
(rescheduled from March 15)
Franz Joseph Haydn - Symphony No. 104, “London”
Jules Massenet - Alsatian Scenes (Orchestra Suite No.7)
Edward Elgar - Three Bavarian Dances
For the safety of our wonderful audience and of our musicians, NEO decided to cancel the March 15 concert and instead perform this program on Friday morning, March 20 at 10:00. This is a first! Join us!
Composers capture their souvenirs in sound.
Edward Elgar vacationed with his wife in the German Alps and recorded his happy holiday impressions in his “Three Bavarian Dances.”
Frenchman Jules Massenet recalls a typical Sunday in the region where he grew up in his orchestral suite, “Alsatian Scenes.”
And visiting composer Joseph Haydn pays homage to the capital of Great Britain in his final symphony, the “London.”
Please join us on Friday, March 20 to bask in their souvenirs!
